My
name is Edgar Schuler, and I am a master craftsman.
In
1979, my stepson Thomas Taggart and I started Edgar Schuler
Tile, later changed in 1981 to Custom Ceramic Tile. Reputation
spread around Orlando about our work:
-
We
were the first and only Tile setters to be contracted
by the "Burdines Home Interior Designers Group"
in the early '80's when they did an extensive search in
the area to find contractors who could and would represent
their company professionally.
-
We
were one of only three subcontractors listed in
the first edition of the Orlando magazine as subcontractors
to be recommended to the general public because of our
good reputation.
-
We
have had a very successful relationship with a handful
of the local builders, putting us in almost every development
and community in the surrounding Orlando areas.
-
We
received an award for the tiling of the Auto Train
station in Sanford, and were then asked to go to Lorton,
Virginia to install the tile in the northern station as
well.
-
We
have worked with many of the top Winter Park designers
over the years putting our work into many of your
beautiful homes.
-
We
have traveled throughout the United States doing tile
work.
-
We
developed a special Tung Oil recipe for Mexican Saltillo
tiles in the '80's and still use it today.
-
In
1991-92 We marbled the Ingersol Rand corporate
home in Lake Nona.
- Our
clients include a movie maker, a States Attorney, numerous
CEOs, professional athletes, college professors and engineers
(some who were working on the space shuttle programs), and
many other clients who were famous in their own right.
- Between
19921999, I had the grand privilege of volunteering
to set tile in locations around the world in countries such
as Venezuela, Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Africa.
We
were the original "Custom Ceramic Tile" in the
Orlando area and our reputation was excellent and widespread.
Unfortunately, during the time I was heavily involved in
the volunteer work mentioned above, we had a number of other
"custom ceramic tile" companies begin to spring
up around the area, confusing the market and obscuring our
name. So in 1995 we once again became Edgar Schuler Tile.
We
have served the greater Orlando area for some 25 years now
and hope to continue serving you for as long as you continue
to enjoy our work.
Please
feel free to call us for an estimate. You will find our
service friendly, our prices fair and our work beyond compare.
